FAQ's General 
 
1. Can you walk to the beach? 
 
Yes you can it is fairly steep and there is a safe way down off the road, ask in reception and we are happy to give you directions. Alternatively you can park your car all day on the beach for a small charge. 
 
2. Are there places for the kids to play? 
 
Yes there are fields and the children are welcome to play in the valley. The village also has a play area. 
 
3. When is reception open? 
 
During the peak season May to the end of October, reception is open from 9am to 5pm. Monday to Saturday and on Sunday 10am to 2pm. Outside of Peak Season Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 
 
4. How far is it to Dartmouth? 
 
Dartmouth is about 2.5 miles away. 
 
5. What is in Stoke Fleming? 
 
A well stocked shop, newsagents and post office, country pub called the Green Dragon, restaurant and take away called the Brill Plaice and a shoe shop called Stomp. All of these are walk able. 
 
6. Where is the nearest cash machine? 
 
The Post Office in the village can handle Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Alliance and Leicester and cahoots. Natwest, HSBC and others in Dartmouth 
 
7. Do you have a club house? 
 
No because that is not what we are about, we cater for great views, peace and quiet. 
 
8. Is public transport accessible? 
 
Yes buses can be caught from outside our entrance, to Dartmouth or Kingsbridge and then father a field. Taxis are also accessible. The nearest train Station is Totnes. 
 
9. Have you any Maps available especially for the South Devon Coastal Path? 
 
Yes we have and we are situated on the coastal path. 
 
10. What do we do if it rains? 
 
There is a fun indoor leisure park for the kids about ten minutes away, a cinema in Dartmouth and then an aquarium in Plymouth. 
 
11. Do you open in the winter? 
 
Yes and no we are open all year for accommodation, central heating for those winter months. Camping and Tourers/Campervans we are open Mid March until the end of October. 
 
12. When is Dartmouth Regatta? 
 
Dartmouth Regatta is the last weekend in August. This is a fun time for all, but also very busy. 
 
 
 
 
FAQ's Accommodation 
 
1. What do we have to bring with us? 
 
We make up the beds for your arrival; we can supply most things, towels, microwaves, cots/high chairs at a small cost.Some people ask us to do shopping for them or book a table at the restaurant? All kitchens are well equipped. 
 
2. Can you park the car outside of our accommodation? 
 
For most of our units you can, probably best to ask us especially if you have some sort of walking difficulty. 
 
3. Can you take last minute bookings and do you do short breaks? 
 
Yes we can offer both of these options. Best to give us a call direct or email. 
 
4. How much deposit do we send? 
 
Our terms for accommodation are £100 deposit and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. 
 
5. Are there electric meters? 
 
Yes we are phasing out the electric meters, but some types of accommodation do have them. They take £1 coins.  
FAQ's Camping 
 
1. Are you able to freeze ice blocks? 
 
Yes please bring to reception, we charge a small cost. 
 
2. Are you able to provide gas? 
 
Yes again come to reception, we supply camping gaz, calor butane/propane, all sizes. 
 
3. Do you have electric hook ups? 
 
Yes for both tourers and camping, you need to book in advance. 
 
4. Are the pitches flat? 
 
The camping field is a gentle slope, some pitches are flat. As far as Tourers/Campervans are concerned most pitches are flat, the ones that are not dead flat you will be able to get level. 
 
5. Do you take large groups? 
 
We do not accept group’s males or females at any time of the year. 
 
6. Where do you put the tourers or campervans? 
 
We have 2 areas the Terrace (great views) or the top field (closer to the village). 
 
7. How much deposit do I need to send? 
 
You need to send 25% of the total booking fee and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. 
 
8. Do I need to book? 
 
It is always recommended, if you book we guarantee you a pitch. If you do not book we maybe unable to offer you a pitch.
